John K. Pringle of Southington, Connecticut passed on 10/23/1998 .

Obituary

John K. Pringle, 50, of Southington, husband of Carol (Barrett) Pringle, died Friday (Oct. 23, 1998) at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. He was born Nov. 26, 1947 in Hartford, son of the late John and Grace (Cross) Pringle. Mr. Pringle was the Executive Director of the Dept. of Aging for the City of Bristol, at the Douglas A. Beals Senior Community Center. He had developed many programs in Bristol including The Great Teddy Bear Jamboree to benefit the senior citizens. Besides his wife, he is survived by two step-sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark and Lisa Liburdi of Terryville, Andrew Liburdi of Bristol; a step- daughter, Marla Liburdi of Plainville; his father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Catherine Barrett of Berlin; and an aunt, Bessie Axelrod of Bristol. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville. Entombment will follow in the St. Joseph Mausoleum, Bristol. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2024 East Main St., Waterbury, CT 06705-2605.
