David F. Potz Jr of Mansfield, Connecticut passed on 02/28/2009 .

Obituary

David F. Potz, 62, of Mansfield, husband of the late Jane Metzler-Potz, died at his home on Saturday (February 28, 2009). He was born in 1946 in Hartford son of the late David F. Potz Sr. and Marion (Twible) Potz. David was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart. He had been employed by the Town of Mansfield for several years. He is survived by a son Tyler of Mansfield, two daughters, Emma Potz of Mansfield and Sharon Ryscavage of Windham; two sisters, Nancy Smith of Willington and Louise Ratcliffe of South Windsor; two grandsons and several nieces and nephews.


David's family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Tuesday March 3rd between 5-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Potz Revocable Trust c/o Liberty Bank, 1132 Storrs Rd., Storrs, CT 06268.
