COLUMBIA - John Knapp, 61, of Burk, VA died April 2, 2009 in Virginia. He was predeceased by his father, John Knapp and brother, Michael. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Knapp of Columbia. He leaves his wife, Ginette of 36 years and his three children, Derick, Dennis & Tracy and one granddaughter, Emma. John retired from the Air Force as Lieutenant Colonel. Services will be held in Bethesda, MD with military honors on Friday, April 10, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours will be on Thursday, April 9, 2009 between 6:00 and 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
