Obituary
James R. Otka, 68, of Willington, CT, beloved husband of Rachel (Dooling) Otka, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He was born in Adams Center, NY, the son of the late Paul J. and Florence (McCaughey) Otka. Jim was the loving father of James R. Otka, Jr. of Canterbury,CT, Thomas Otka and his wife Sarah of Kerrville, TX, Christopher Otka and his wife Deborah of Lisbon, CT and Daniel Otka and his companion Dawn Reynolds of Willimantic, CT. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Otka and his wife Patricia of Racine, WI; a sister, Judith Dahlquist and her husband Kenneth of The Villages, FL; two nephews, Timothy Larson and Brian Otka; many cousins; and two stepdaughters, Jessica Noonan and Amanda Britton of Boston, MA. Jim was a lifelong fisherman, hunter and avid Red Sox fan who enjoyed spending many weekends on his boat the “Blue Crab.” Always caring, generous and thinking of others, he will be dearly missed by family and friends. His funeral service will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10 A.M. at the Federated Church of Willington at Willington Hill, 236 Tolland Turnpike, Willington, CT. Burial will follow in Willington Hill Cemetery, Willington, CT. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 2-4 P.M. at Introvigne Funeral Home, Inc., 51 East Main St., Stafford Springs, CT.
