Obituary

Leslie C. Lewis, 59, of Columbia, died Sunday (May 6, 2007) at Windham Hospital. He was born July 25, 1947 in Willimantic the son of the late Reginald and Virginia (Collins) Lewis. Leslie was a self employed Real Estate consultant and was formerly employed at Lessenger Co. Realtors. He enjoyed being involved in local politics. Leslie is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen (Lessenger) Lewis, two daughters, Corrine Lewis of Columbia and Marissa Lewis of Boston, MA.; two brothers, Reginald of Connecticut and Jeffrey and his wife Susan of Columbia; a nephew Jeffrey, two nieces Elin and Brooke; his father in law Max Lessenger of Columbia and his brother in law Kurt Lessenger and his wife Anne of Columbia. His family will receive friends at Potter Funeral Home 456 Jackson St. (Rte. 195) Willimantic on Thursday from 1-2 p.m. with the service beginning at 2 p.m. Interment will then follow in West Street Cemetery, Columbia.
